This years Jan. trip to the Galapagos Islands was so wonderful and inspiring that I just had to plan another trip and go back to this amazing place!
Remote....legendary...astonishing. Back when the world was young it looked like....the Galapagos Islands still do. We will spend a week aboard a small First-class yacht exploring the islands of the Galapagos. The biological diversity will astound you but more amazing is the sheer number and vareity of animals that live here....many species solely unique to these islands. They have never had to fear man.....so you can walk freely among them and have very up-close-and-personal encounters.Snorkeling opportunities are abundant exploring the undersea world with sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguana's, rays, penguins and possibly a white-tipped reef shark or two.....who knows what other sea creatures might appear!
We will spend a night in Quito, Ecuador prior to flying to the Galapagos and after our Galapagos cruise we will spend 2 nights in Quito in a 4 star hotel. You'll have time to explore this fascinating city, shop for local crafts and treasures and a full day excursion to the surrounding countryside and quaint local towns.
